We do not have a picture of, or page about the Deepwater Horizon, and won't do so until enquiries into this tragic accident are under way. The remoteness of oil installations and the difficulty in getting specific information when an accident like this happens can make such situations unbearably difficult for the relatives of victims and survivors alike - those relatives have our deepest sympathy.

An initial report into the BP Miller North Sea helicopter crash which killed 16 people has found that the aircraft suffered a "catastrophic failure" which occurred in the main gearbox, resulting in "detachment of the main rotor assembly".
