ETAP

The Eastern Trough Area Project (ETAP) is an integrated development of seven different reservoirs. Four separate fields are operated by BP, namely Marnock, Mungo, Monan and Machar (the M fields); and three by Shell, called the Heron, Egret and Skua fields (the Heron cluster). Located 240km east of Aberdeen in the Central North Sea, all are geographically located within a 35km area.

Behind the platform is an accommodation barge, probably the Polyconcorde.

Comments:
Assuming the photo was taken during the hook-up in 1998 the accomodation barge is the Polyconcord. Can't think of any reason why a barge would have been back alongside since.

One of the first rigs I worked on in the construction phase.

J. Scott: I was on the ETAP in May, and there was no accomodation barge there then.
