Jackets at PrimorskThe Primorsk yard is in Azerbaijan on the Caspian, about 30 minutes drive south of the capital, Baku. In 1993 BP were negotiating to take over some Caspian fields, and purchase of some of these jackets was part of the deal. Unlike most deep water North Sea jackets, these had 16 fairly small diameter legs rather than 6 or 8 large diameter ones.
