Northern ProducerThe Northern Producer is now a floating production installation on Talisman's Galley Field in the North Sea. When the project started in 1998, it was forecast to have a lifespan of approximately 4 years and was regarded as a relatively short-term proposition. Seven years from first production, the field has produced nearly 55 million barrels. In achieving this the Northern Producer team has achieved world-class production uptime performance since field start up.
Talisman are well known as a company able to make a success of small and near-exhausted fields. See
