Micoperi 7000Taken whilst I was working briefly for Marconi UDI in Aberdeen during my holidays from university. I was the EDM operator during a gas-riser jacket installation somewhere near Brent Field in August 1992. I was supposed to be part of a failsafe operation - two EDM operators and a transponder set-up, but one of the EDMs and the transponder failed, so it was up to me to guide it in safely - talk about pressure!!
